Author Guidelines

IJGEA is committed to ensuring proper attribution of credit and responsibility in scholarly publications. These guidelines define the criteria for authorship and promote transparency, accountability, and integrity in research.

Criteria for Authorship

To be listed as an author, a person must meet all the following four criteria, as recommended by the ICMJE:

1. Substantial Contribution

Made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work.

2. Drafting or Revising

rafted the work or revised it critically for important intellectual content.

3. Final Approval

Approved the final version to be published and agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

4. Accountability

Agrees to be accountable for ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

General Principles

  • All authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the work.
  • All listed authors must approve the submitted version and agree to its publication.
  • Individuals who do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged, not listed as authors.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are aware of and approve the submission, and for communicating with the journal during the publication process.
