IJGEA is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and integrity by encouraging authors to share the data underlying the results presented in their publications. This policy describes our expectations and the principles governing data sharing.
Our Data Sharing Principles
1. Encouragement
Authors are encouraged to share the data that support the findings reported in their articles.
2. Privacy & Confidentiality
Data containing sensitive, confidential, or personal information must be handled in accordance with ethical and legal requirements
3. Accessibility
Shared data should be accessible, whenever possible, through a trusted repository and accompanied by sufficient metadata and documentation.
4. Transparency
Authors should clearly describe in the manuscript how the data were obtained, processed, and where they can be accessed.
5. Exceptions
Data sharing may be exempted in cases of legal restrictions, ethical concerns, or where sharing could compromise the rights of individuals or organizations.
6. Responsibility
Authors are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and proper management of the data they share.
Data Availability Statement
Authors must include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript, indicating whether data are available, where they can be accessed, and any restrictions that apply.
